OUR PROGRAMS
MEDITATION
A living tradition of deep wisdom and diverse practice.
Referring to the Pali term bhāvanā, meditation can be understood as mental cultivation. Just as the mind presents a range of conditions, the Buddha offered a range of skilful means in response. Over time, these contemplative pathways have been further developed and transmitted through the insight and dedication of meditation masters. Buddhist meditation remains a living tradition, offering a way to see our lives from a different perspective.
COLLECTIVE CULTIVATION
Practice in mutual support and care across Buddhist traditions.
Collective cultivation consists of community or group practice programs. We recognize that the Buddha bestowed 84,000 teachings upon us. And that’s why we enter and tread the path differently. Whether you are a Buddhist or not, you are welcome to explore these practices and rituals with us.
KĀYAGATĀSATI
Establish mindfulness in and of the body.
By using the framework of Kāyagatā-sati, or Mindfulness Immersed in the Body, during yoga practice, we bring the mind and body together through the breath. Instead of focusing solely on the physical expression of the poses, we turn our attention to the mind and its intentions, remaining mindful and alert to the body’s posture.
UPOSATHA OBSERVANCE
Dedicate time and effort to cleanse the mind.
Held every new-moon and full-moon day of the month, this morning online gathering is designed to support practitioners to grow deeper in their practice even within this urban community.
